Canal murder over money dispute in Bhandara — A shocking case has emerged from Vidarbha’s Bhandara district where a long-standing money disagreement reportedly ended in a man being drowned in a canal. The accused, a close friend of the victim, allegedly lured him into a canal near Virli (Bu) and pushed him into the water. Police say the victim was 45-year-old Naresh Dunedar, and the accused, 42-year-old Narayan Meshram, has been arrested following the incident. According to investigators, the two had been drinking together that afternoon, and the dispute over large sums escalated rapidly. The accused has been remanded in custody as the local police continue their probe. The case remains under investigation to determine motives and prior history of the financial dispute.
