In a major relief to paddy farmers of Gondia and Bhandara districts, the Maharashtra government has increased the paddy procurement target by 20 lakh quintals. The decision follows MLA and former minister Rajkumar Badole’s intervention during the monsoon session. Procurement will continue until July 20, 2025, easing concerns of crop spoilage and financial strain.
